Groundwork adopts insights into the human condition from many sources, including ancient mythology, Jung's work on dreams, Gestalt psychotherapy, existentialism, Marshall McLuhan's work on new media .
These themes and insights are explored within the Groundwork psychotherapy sessions, and outside as well, in Video Salons open to the public.
Join Us for a Video Salon
Every two or three months a group of men and women, some of them artists, filmmakers, therapists, business people, philosophers (and ex-Groundwork clients) get together to watch a video and discuss a theme in a friendly atmosphere (an art deco music studio). Food and drinks are supplied, and the discussion is always animated.
The videos are created by Len Choptiany, who is the director of The Richmond Cultural Seminars, a body that brings cultural issues to the general public.
Dates of the next Video Salon are posted at the RCS website, and we invite you to come and share your insights with us, whether or not you are involved in personal Groundwork sessions.
